Ryan Thomas Gosling atau yang akrab disapa Ryan Gosling merupakan seorang pemain film yang berasal dari London, Ontario, Kanada dan lahir pada tanggal 12 November 1980. Ryan kecil merupakan anak dari pasangan Thomas Ray Gosling yang bekerja sebagai penjual keliling di pabrik kertas dan Donna yang merupakan seorang sekretaris. Kedua Orang tua Ryan Gosling merupakan penganut Mormon taat dan agama tersebut sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan keluarga mereka. Dikarenakan pekerjaan dari sang ayah, Ryan Gosling kecil sering berpindah-pindah tempat tinggal. Dan akhirnya kedua orang tuanya berpisah ketika Ryan berusia 13 tahun. Ryan Gosling merupakan salah satu aktor terkenal Hollywood yang tidak lulus SMA. Dia mulai mengejar cita-citanya pada usia 17 tahun. Ryan Gosling juga berpacaran dengan lawan mainnya sebut saja Sandra Bullock yang dia pacari pada tahun 2002 hingga 2003, ketika mereka bertemu dalam film MURDER BY NUMBERS. Jarak usia keduanya sangat jauh yaitu 16 tahun. Ryan Gosling juga memiliki hubungan yang serius dengan pasangan filmnya yaitu Rachel McAdams. Mereka bertemu dalam film THE NOTEBOOK, Ryan sangat tergila-gila dengan Rachel McAdams dan dia mengatakan bahwa hubungan keduanya lebih romantis daripada film yang mereka berdua bintangi.
